HedgeHogs is owned & operated by Amenity Horticulturist Simon Woods.

Simon trained in Landscaping and Amenity Horticulture at Glen College, Dublin. He has specialized in commercial landscaping, grounds and property maintenance services since 1997.Contracting to Property Maintenance compaines like Wyse Property Management, and Formost Property Management Government Bodies like the NCCA, OPW, Revenue and property developers like the Roche Group, to mention just a few.Professionally delivering a range of diverse services to a wide range of clientele, spanning both residential and commercial properties and developments.Notable clients include the Revenue Commissioners located at Government Buildings, Nenagh, Co. Hot & Cold Pressure Cleaning

Since 1997, we have meticulously cleaned thousands of kilometers of hard surfaces. Our comprehensive services include the removal of dirt, lichen, and moss, as well as restoration, resanding, and repairs.

Drain Cleaning

Traps, gullies, culverts, to drainage waste pipes, blockages cause poor dainage and can even cause flooding leading to damp and water damage in and around buildings, on paving and drives.
Our jetting service clears and resolves blockage. If there is sewage overflow, we will clean affected areas and treat with Jayes disenfectant fluid afterwards.

Soft Landscaping

Our landscaping services cover all your planting needs, from designing and installing garden beds, borders, and raised beds to filling pots, planters and hanging baskets. We supply and plant a diverse range of flora, including bamboo, climbers, evergreen shrubs, bedding plants, hedges, ornamental trees, and fruit trees. Additionally, we provide garden enhancements like retaining edging, weed control membranes, decorative mulches (bark and stone), and trellis installation.

For all commercial and residential hard/soft landscaping projects, including painting and repairs, a non-negotiable consultation fee of €100 plus VAT applies. This fee is payable on or prior to the day of your site visit. Payment via Revolut and or by cash only.By booking a consultation with HedgeHogs—whether by email, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram Messenger, phone, or in person—you agree to these terms and conditions. During the consultation, our representative will discuss your requirements, offer advice and recommendations, conduct a site evaluation, take measurements, and research necessary plants, products, materials, and equipment for your landscaping or repair project.Quotations & Estimates
Should you decide to proceed with our soft/hard landscaping, painting, or repair services after receiving our quotation or estimate, the initial Consultation fee, including VAT, will be deducted from your total.If you choose not to proceed, this Consultation fee covers the services already rendered, such as our site visit, evaluation, discussion of your requirements, advice, research, and quotation/estimate preparation.This Consultation fee is separate from any other contract or service and is non-refundable and or transferable.Please ask us for more information about this fee before booking a consultation at your property. By booking, you agree to these terms and conditions.Labour rates
Labour rates are set at the prevailing rates for the Irish horticultural and landscaping industry. They are fully aligned with Irish government regulations and labour laws, and are non-negotiable.Green waste haulage & recycling rates
Green waste is charged by volume in our trailers, with prices determined by the per-tonnage disposal rates set by waste facilities. These rates are subject to change without notice and are non-negotiable.
Annual grounds maintenance contract quotes, waste disposal costs are factored in. However where additonal waste from a property or development goes beyond what is initially quoted for, then this is deemed addional materials for which the handling, haulage and disposal costs of this will be an additional charge to the contract price quoted. This will be added to your monthly invoice.
All other Individual works, if there is waste disposal involved this will be factored into quotes and or estimates.Pricing/Rates:

Our prices/rates are non-negotiable and are subject to change without notice.Works schedule
We endeavor to complete all works in a timely manner, whether under a fixed annual contract or an individual one-off agreement. However, we are unable to provide a guarantee for work being carried out precisely on schedule due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, labour shortages (for any reason), supplier delays or issues, or equipment and vehicle breakdowns. By employing our services, you understand this and agree to these terms and conditions.Our typical working hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. If necessary, we may perform work on Sundays and Bank/Public Holidays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.Works out of scope
All work must be agreed upon before commencing. Any additional work requested outside the agreed contract will incur extra costs for labour, time, materials, waste and misc., related items. In some cases, this additional work may not be carried out. Please do not ask our operatives to perform tasks or work beyond the scope of the contract without prior consultation with and agreement/concent from management.Payment terms
For all commercial and residential hard/soft landscaping projects, including painting and repairs, a deposit of 50% of the total cost of the quotation or esitmate is required minimum of five days prior to work commencing. The remaining balance of the total cost of the quotation or esitmate is required in full, upon the day of completion of works. No credit terms are offered. See Credit terms below. By employing our services, you agree to these terms and conditions.Payment methods
You can pay using cash, an electronic transfer to our business bank account, or to our Revolut account.Credit terms
No credit terms are offered outside of our 12-month minimum commercial maintenance contracts, where payment is due no more than 30 calendar days from the invoice date. Invoices are sent via email only. For all non-commercial or individual contracts, a deposit is required, with the balance due in full on the day of work completion. See payment terms above. By employing our services, you agree to these terms and conditions.Guarantees
We will rectify any issues or problems in our work that result in an unsatisfactory or dangerous condition. We cannot guarantee the lifespan, quality, or durability of building products or materials supplied by a third party. We strive to purchase correct, professionally made, and durable quality materials for all projects. The lifespan of plants (climbers, shrubs, bedding, grasses, hedging, etc.) and trees (ornamental, large, etc.) cannot be guaranteed. Once planted, sowen and or laid, customers are responsible for their essential care and maintenance.Compliance and Insurance
We fully comply with Irish Revenue regulations and all relevant landscape and construction industry standards, including certified Safe Pass training. We hold comprehensive public and employers liability insurance, with a copy available upon request.
